Hamster Wheel

Hello, Beauty!

With Groundhog Day (and Super Bowl Sunday) behind us for another year, I wanted to talk about the hamster (or groundhog) wheel of habits.

I am the first to admit that I have usually been terrible with maintaining healthy habits for the long haul. All that changed two years ago when I started training with Natural Beaded Rows™ Extensions and their education company, Big Money Stylist. (Don't worry, this is not a hair post lol!)

One of the most vital things we learn in BMS (which also stands for the Business Marketing and Sales of NBR) is how to manage and care for ourselves as humans, while creating the life and business we want. This includes building healthy habits in all areas of our lives.

It has taken some proactive practice, but I have finally started taking myself, my life, my health, and my business seriously. One of the main changes I've created is taking supplements and eating more mindfully.

Now, I've never stayed on a vitamin plan for longer than four days at a time!! But since September, I have successfully maintained a supplementation plan (I use Young Living) and have been rewarded with an insane level of results in my health and well being.

I'm not sure how long it really takes to create a new positive habit--I've heard a variety of time frames--but I can say with complete transparency that I have not missed a single day of my regimen now for five full months. I never believed it could make such a difference, but I am a full-on convert today.

And it's been that way with all of the habits I have created in the last year. My day and energy feels completely different if I don't meditate or journal, and for sure, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day!! The last piece I am really trying to build in is my fitness.

We are in the process of creating a workout area in our basement, but I try to at least focus on stretching and body-weight exercises. Even if it's only ten minutes, I feel so much better when I get that portion in. My goal is to get up even earlier than I already do (5 instead of 5:30) to get a really good workout in, but I am still just human LOL. One thing at a time!

What are you doing to change your life? Will you wake up tomorrow and make the same old choices you've always made, and still not feeling the way you want?

Or is tomorrow the day you jump of that old hamster wheel and start creating the life you've always wanted? Make better choices with your food, or your body, or your business?
